We are pleased to share with you that the construction of the flagship store of the Brussels-based creative retail chain Schleiper is nearing completion. Very soon, a stunning and beautiful active second skin facade will rise, designed with the idea of providing shade and cooling to the building and its occupants while generating clean energy for local use. This aesthetic and pleasing architectural design once again demonstrates the versatility of the multiple functionality that a building element can combine to provide more benefits to the user. While generating electricity for the building, this active second skin façade contributes to the building’s excellent indoor climate by reducing overall cooling requirements by 15%.
